With scores more reminiscent of the final round of Strictly, our judging panel awarded Mustard three 10s. With two rounds to go in the 2022-2023 Saigon Curry House of The Year season, hot Mustard put a chill(i) through the opposition by taking a huge lead, and the first curry house this year to score over 8. Can any curry house beat this in 2023?

This was certainly unexpected.

Down a small alley off Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, while Mustard boasts some nice scores on Trip Advisor, Facebook, Google et al., it is not frequently discussed or mentioned by secret networks of foodies.

But it should be. One panellist wrote "Of all the restaurants we have reviewed in this quest [to find the best curry house n Saigon] I'd go back here first." Another wrote "the best poppadoms in weeks, good starters, and lovely curries"

From well presented and delicious starters - momos and skewers - to a quality range of complementary curries and large fluffy naans, the Mustard team from kitchen to front of house staff impressed us.

⚠ Could improve...

- A few beers were flat and warm due to complications changing the keg
