Review: Saigon Indian

Status: not approved!

Average score: 6.9

The Ho Chi Minh division of the world renowned OCC opened up its 2024 season with a visit to Saigon Indian in D1. The restaurant claims to offer "the best of both South and North Indian cuisine" and "a blend of India’s very best".

It had a cozy ambience and great service. Some of the dishes were lovely, but others let the experience down. Overall, several members reflected that would be a place they would be happy to go back to, but wouldn't be their first choice.

📢 quotes from the reviews:

- "We were looked after very well but I feel some of dishes were lacking in depth of flavour"

- "Overall an average curry house. To be fair one of the curries was quite spicy which is rare."

 - "Average place. Food could have been better but service was attentive"

✅ things we loved:

- good service and atmosphere

- some heat in their curries

- samosas

⚠ things to improve:

- poppadums and pickles, plus the speed of delivering them

- warm beer

- some more diversity and depth to the curries
